ななや
Nanaya is Marushichi Seicha's consumer-facing Shizuoka matcha brand, best known for pairing intensely concentrated matcha with modern sweets while also selling its own Japanese domestic matcha powders. The brand's flagship shop in Fujieda presents Shizuoka-grown matcha as both an everyday ingredient and a higher-grade drinking tea.
Brand story
The official Nanaya page states that Shizuoka matcha production in Fujieda's former Okabe area began in 1988 with Marushichi Seicha and just four growers, then expanded from Japan into export markets across America, Europe, and Asia. Nanaya's own brand launch message is dated 2011-07-07, framing the shop as a new expression of Shizuoka tea culture built on ongoing experimentation rather than static tradition.
