Kane7 Hatakeyama Seicha (株式会社カネ七畠山製茶, カネシチ) is an Uji tea manufacturing and wholesale company based in Mukojima, Fushimi Ward, Kyoto. It dates its founding to the first year of Horeki (宝暦元年, 1751) and says its tea business began in the 7th generation, under Hatakeyama Nananoshin; it describes the company becoming a joint-stock company under the 18th generation and starting exports under the 19th. The 20th generation, Hatakeyama Tomoharu (畠山友晴), leads it today. Its site lists JAS Organic (HOAS), EU organic, USDA National Organic Program and Canadian Organic Regime certification for its organic teas, a US FDA registration number, and ISO 9001:2015. Its consumer brand KANESHICHI ORGANIC TEA sells a line of four matcha grades under single-character Japanese names: 響 (Hibiki), 霞 (Kasumi), 詩 (Uta), and 恵 (Megumi).
