柳桜園茶舗
Ryuoen Chaho (柳桜園茶舗, also written 柳櫻園茶舗; corporate name: 有限会社伊藤柳櫻園茶舗) is a Kyoto matcha shop founded in Meiji 8 (1875) in the Gosho-minami area, south of the Imperial Palace. The founder was Itō Katsuji (伊藤勝治). Press features and the Kyoto Prefecture tea cooperative directory list it as a supplier to the three Sansenke houses (Urasenke, Omotesenke and Mushanokoji Senke); the directory also names Daitoku-ji. The shop grinds Uji tencha on a stone mill at the back of the shop and sells it by weight; some customers bring their own canisters to be filled. It has counters at Takashimaya in Kyoto, Nihonbashi, Shinjuku, Osaka and JR Nagoya. Address: 〒604-0935 京都府京都市中京区二条御幸町西入丁子屋町690. TEL: 075-231-3693 / FAX: 075-231-2118. Hours: 9:00–18:00, closed Sundays. The shop has no website of its own: the Kyoto Prefecture tea cooperative directory lists it with the website field left blank (checked September 2026).
