A single-cultivar ceremonial matcha made from 100% Okumidori tencha grown in Yame, Fukuoka. Harvested once a year during the first spring flush, the leaves are shade-grown and stone-milled to produce a powder with a signature emerald-green colour. Okumidori's late-maturing nature allows a longer accumulation of amino acids, yielding elegant sweetness, a silky mouthfeel, and minimal bitterness. Gold Prize at the Japanese Tea Selection Paris 2025 and two-star Great Taste Award 2023.

Oishi Chaen (株式会社 大石茶園, OISHI TEA FACTORY) is a Yame tea manufacturer in Murooka, Yame City, Fukuoka, founded on April 1, 1940. Its representative is Oishi Goji (大石剛司) and its capital is ¥50 million. The company's own history lists these milestones: 1954 Kenji Oishi became head; 1972 renamed Oishi Chaen; 1977 its tea garden won the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Award; 1991 Ochamura, a direct-sales company, set up; 2008 CCD foreign-matter removal installed on all lines at its head office; 2018 FSSC22000 and JAS Organic. Its site describes it as a wholesale company for corporate clients and says it supplies organic and pesticide-free teas to overseas markets.
