Hoshino Seichaen makes sweet, rich matcha with a high-toned aroma in Hoshino Village, Yame, Fukuoka Prefecture. The area is one of Japan’s finest for gyokuro. Founded in 1946, the company pioneered tencha (matcha base leaf) production in Kyushu in 1989. It installed 50 stone mills and uses traditional hon-gyokuro cultivation techniques. Hoshino Seichaen holds ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and Organic JAS certifications. Its Hoshino Matcha was named among Japan’s “The Wonder 500” outstanding regional products.
