Chasen
A chasen is the bamboo whisk used to disperse matcha and build foam.
Different tine counts can change feel and foam quality, but the main job is simple: break up clumps and create an even bowl. A better chasen will not rescue a poorly matched tea, but it does make good prep more repeatable.
