株式会社 大井川茶園大井川茶園
Oigawa Chaen (株式会社 大井川茶園) is a large-scale, vertically integrated Shizuoka tea manufacturer founded in October 1999 by representative Yukishima Naomichi (雪嶋直通) in Shimada City, later relocating to Yaizu City, Shizuoka. Named after the Oigawa (大井川) river that runs through the heart of Shizuoka's tea country, the company grew rapidly from ¥1 billion in sales (2008) to become a major producer operating its own factory from fresh leaf to finished product. In 2018 they completed a dedicated matcha factory, and in 2019 earned FSSC22000 food safety certification for matcha manufacturing; ISO22000 followed in 2021. Their 'Chakojo no Makanai' (茶工場のまかない) blended green tea line sells over 1 million units annually across 15,000 stores nationwide, with a PET bottle collaboration with Pokka Sapporo launched in 2016. For matcha, Oigawa Chaen offers accessible Shizuoka-grown and Uji-origin powdered matcha suited for everyday cooking, baking, and casual drinking — positioned as a value-oriented alternative to artisan producers. The factory-direct store 'Ochanosato' (お茶の郷・本店) opened in 2018.
