About the brand
崎原製茶
Sakihara Seicha (崎原製茶) is a vertically integrated tea producer in Godaicho, Satsumasendai, Kagoshima. The company traces its roots to 1951, when founder Hiroshi Sakihara began clearing tea fields on the Sendai Plain, and officially opened Sakihara Seicha in 1954. Its official Japanese site states that the business handles cultivation, aracha manufacturing, blending, product making, and direct sales in-house, growing tea on two self-managed farms with nine cultivars raised using organic fertilizer. Representative Kazuhiro Sakihara leads a lineup centered on Kagoshima sencha and gyokuro, alongside black tea, oolong, pu-erh, and a substantial matcha-blend range. The company obtained ISO 22000 food-safety certification in 2021.
