山政小山園
Historic Uji grower-manufacturer founded in 1861, integrating cultivation, processing, and stone-milled matcha production. Supplier to major tea ceremony schools with 22 competition wins.
Brand story
Founded in Bunkyū 1 (1861) in Ogura-chō, Uji, Yamamasa Koyamaen manages the full matcha production chain — from cultivating tea in their own gardens, through plucking, drying, blending, and stone-grinding — using methods passed down across generations. Their named matchas were given titles by masters of famous tea schools including Urasenke and Omotesenke, and have served as benchmarks for ceremonial-grade quality for over 160 years.
