製茶辻喜辻喜
Tsujiki (製茶辻喜) is a fifth-generation family tea farm in the Shirakawa district of Uji City, Kyoto, the historic heartland of Japanese tencha and matcha cultivation. Representative Tsuji Kiyoharu continues a lineage of farmers who have cultivated tea in the steep, fog-filled valleys of Uji Shirakawa — a microclimate renowned for producing the most refined tencha in Japan. Tsujiki employs a 95% shading rate and double the standard amount of organic fertilizer to develop the deep umami and vivid green color that define their competition-grade matcha. Their teas have earned the Prime Minister's Award at the 56th National Agriculture and Forestry Festival, the Agricultural Minister's Award, and Gold in the matcha category at the Japanese Tea Selection Paris. Their product line centers on single-cultivar competition matcha — Asahi, Uji Hikari, and Samidori — each harvested by hand and stone-ground in strictly limited quantities, alongside a small selection of signature blends for everyday ceremonial use.
